Vendor Comments
We moved into our wonderful home 136 Elmdon Lane in October 1986 drawn by the location, the village setting, the lovely leafy lane, the unique design of the house and the stunning large garden.
It’s a great place to be positioned in-between the town centre at Solihull and Birmingham City Centre with an excellent rail service, and easy walk access to the exhibitions at the NEC, and Birmingham Airport.
We had actually moved for a prettier area that was closer to our offices, and we weren’t put off at all by the planes taking off, as this has always been a novelty for us. Planes taking off were exciting and fun to watch especially to our visitors, and still offer that entertainment to this day, 34 years later.
The house offered all that we wanted, plenty of space and parking, character, and privacy in a busy village, and we know it will be hard to beat.
We love our garden as we are not overlooked and have a very rural outlook and over the years have made lots of changes to make it easier to upkeep.
We have enlarged our kitchen and added a conservatory and generally modernised the property comfortably, and have plenty of happy memories, especially of garden parties and friends staying. We will be very sorry to leave all this behind, but to move to the coast and areas in South Devon we know well, is the next chapter of our lives.
